I have been the owner/operator of Harrisons Carpet Manawatu since January 2005, when I left the comforts of an Accountancy office here in Palmerston North to spread my wings and buy my own "little" business. I soon became so busy in my own "little" business that I had to buy another van and start employing staff. I eventually sold a portion of the area I owned to serve my customers' expectations better. I look after half of Palmerston North with the surrounding areas of Feilding, Bulls, Sanson, Marton, the northern Manawatu district, and across some Whanganui areas. I'm sure you would have seen my distinctive sign written van zooming around the district.
Both my partner Chris and I are very involved in the community and enjoy a stroll around the Palmerston North golf course together whenever we can. I support our local golf club by sponsoring an annual golf tournament known as the Harrisons Carpet Open Day, a very popular event.I believe my strength is listening to what my customers want and trying my best to deliver to their expectations so they can be delighted with their experience dealing with Harrisons.
